Here is where we post Quotes you/we love and/or were inspired by, so that everyone can enjoy them. We will also post your comments on them.

Here are some starter quotes:

  1. "The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it." —Theodore Roosevelt

  2. "A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be." —Rosalynn Carter

  3. "A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent." —Douglas MacArthur

  4. "Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity." —General George Patton

  5. "Don’t necessarily avoid sharp edges. Occasionally they are necessary to leadership." —Donald Rumsfeld

  6. "You don’t lead by hitting people over the head—that’s assault, not leadership." â€“Dwight Eisenhower

  7. "I must follow the people. Am I not their leader?" —Benjamin Disraeli

  8. "You don’t need a title to be a leader." –Multiple Attributions

"Sometimes you just have to move on and put that chapter of life in the past. Don't close the book, just turn the page." - It is unknown of who has written this but this still remains my favorite quote. Leadership is not just a skill; it is a way of life. I think this quote ties into leadership nicely because as a leader we should be able to realize that we have control over our lives.

"A leader is a dealer in hope." —Napoleon Bonaparte" leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way." —John Maxwell

"You don’t need a title to be a leader." –Multiple Attributions

I'm aware that some of the people who have said these quotes are males. It is not only women who become leaders but it important that we do so we can take a stand against the stereotype of women cowering behind others.
